Voting patterns of African countries on the UN General Assembly’s “Ukrainian” resolutions during the period 2014-2018
On 17th December 2018 the resolution on “The Problem of Militarization in the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, Ukraine, the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov” received three votes “for” (Liberia, Djibouti and Botswana), four “against” (Burundi, Sudan, South Sudan and Zimbabwe. A vote on the second resolution on “The Situation of Human Rights in the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, Ukraine” which was held a week later received 8 votes “against”: Chad, Comoros, Eritrea, South Africa and Uganda were added to the list from 17th December.
