Nikolay Dobronravin
Africanist, Doctor of Philology
Member of the Dissertation Council of St. Petersburg State University.

From 1986 to 2006: rose from being assistant lecturer to associate professor and then to a professor at the Department of African Studies, Faculty of Asian and African Studies, St. Petersburg State University.

Since 2007, has served as professor at the Department of World Politics, School of International Relations, St. Petersburg State University, Lecturer in Master's Program "BRICS Studies".

Professor Dobronravin has authored and co-authored dozens of publications, including monographs "Oil. Gas. Modernizing the Society" (2008) and "Ethnic Planning and Ethnic Constructing in the Politics and Social Practice of the 20th Century" (2013), "Western Sahara, Somaliland, Azawad: Issues of Sovereignty" (2013).

He is a member of the Association of Ibero-American World Researchers (under the Institute of Latin American Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences) and a member of the Research Council for the Problems of Africa under the Russian Academy of Sciences.
